  1. I like the way you captured a lot of different emotions in your pictures. You used the black and white and the square frame like Richard Avedon did. To create more of a Richard Avedon feel, maybe try using a really white background and making sure that the models eyes are looking at the camera. Good Work!

  2. Nice work! You were able to display Richard Avedon's style throughout your photos. Most of your photos conveyed vulnerability and honest emotions, however the last one seemed a bit posed. Overall great work!

  4. I really like the second picture because the subject is conveying a message through his eyes. I suggest having the person look straight into the camera because the interaction between the subject and camera will be more direct. The viewers will also be able to get more of the message behind the expression. Also, some of the photos seem staged, so try to evoke more natural expressions from your subject, either through prompts or a key word that he can think about.

  7. I love ale's emotions in these pictures! you did a good job of covering a lot of different expressions and some that I wouldn't have thought of. I also think it was good when students did all the pictures of the same model for this project because it seems like a series of emotions that the same person has and just gets a different feel than if a different person for each of the faces.

  8. this collection is great! I really like Ale's emotions in the photos. The only criticism is that the backgrounds of the photos aren't white, preventing this collection from being more Avedon like. Overall, good job.
